Complectation

The frequency-converter station of explosion-proof type EPFCS-500/1140-UHLS5is designed for stepless variable electric regulation of speed and torque of belt conveyor drive and supply of voltage to auxiliary devices of the station and conveyors in the underground mine workings, gas (methane) and pulverized coal hazardous.

The station is designed for joint operation with various automatic control systems (Davis Derby, Promos, ACSM, etc.). It is possible to operate the station in "Local', "Remote" and "remote Control” modes. The station has spark-safe control and alarm circuits; communication with dispatcher is carried out by means of explosion proof fiber-optic communication line.

It provides:

  • Stepless variable electric regulation of speed and torque;
  • operational local and remote control of electrical drive;
  • mechanical and electrical Locking;
  • control of the auxiliary engines of brake cooling circuit, motor drives and other auxiliary equipment;
  • electric motor protection;
  • data transfer via RS-485 interface, Modbus protocol;
  • connection to fiber-optic communication line;
  • logging of the emergency events.

Operating conditions:

  • Ambient air temperature +1...+35°C;
  • relative air humidity up to 100% at temperature +35°C;
  • absence of sharp jerks and shocks;
  • dust content in ambient air is max 1000 mg/m3;
  • working position in space is horizontal, the deviation from working position up to 15 degrees in any 4 direction is allowed.

Operating conditions:

  • Mean time between failures is not less than 8000 hrs;
  • established first overhaul period is not less than 65000 h;
  • average full service life is not less than 15 years;
  • mean time to recover is not exceeding 2 hr.
