Complectation
Remote control unit of the RCU is an EX-component. The unit is designed for transmission of discrete signals from elements located in explosion hazard zone to devices located in the explosion-proof zone. Sources of input signals can be sensors, limit switches and remote control panels. RCU unit has explosion protection marking [Ex ia] IU and be installed inside the explosion-proof jackets with a degree of protection not lower than IP54, or on the surface of mines beyond the explosion hazard zone.
IMU provides the following protection types:
- protection against loss of control in case of the short-circuit or wires breakage of the remote control circuit;
- protection against self-switching in case of short-term increase of supply voltage <150% of the rated one;
- activation of the executive component at grounding resistance <20 Ohm; retention of executive component at grounding resistance <25 Ohm;
- deactivation of executive component at grounding resistance <26 Ohm;
